NOTE: The SwiftKey Keyboard application is currently a requirement for Android 7.0 (Nougat) users,














unless the necessary configuration steps are taken with the tablet to disable Smart Typing.

A file sharing system that can be accessed from the tablet (e.g. OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.).



















Installing Aria Mobile









  • Before you can install the Aria Mobile application, you must turn on a security setting that allows you to install and use applications that did not come from the Google Play store environment.


  • Access the “Settings” module of the tablet:


  • Beneath the “General” tab, select “Security” settings.


  • Then, enable the “Unknown Sources” checkbox beneath the “Device Administration” heading.



Installing Aria Mobile





  • You will need to get the .apk file on your tablet by either a file transfer application, or by a direct web download link. Next, run the .apk file


  • When installing, you will need to press next on the following prompts:



Android Nougat 7.0 – Disable Smart Typing





  • From the settings menu, navigate to Samsung keyboard settings and turn off all predictive text.



Aria Mobile Orientation






  • Keyboard – On occasion, you may need to use your tablet’s “Back” button to uncover the full screen, and hide the virtual keyboard.


  • A triangle in the bottom right corner of a field indicates a dropdown menu is available.


  • An (X) indicates the ability to clear all values in a field.



Connections Settings





  • If this is the first time you are loading Aria Mobile, you will be directly placed in the connection configurations page. If not, you can access it by selecting the hamburger menu and selecting “Connection Settings”

  • The connections page will list all configured connection settings and indicate the status.





• Note: Add, Edit, and Remove options are available at the bottom of the screen.

  • To add a new connection, you will need fill in the:


  • Host / IP Address


  • Port


  • System ID


  • Description


  • Enabled Y/N


  • These will be provided by Aliv IT, if not already configured

Logging In





  • Aria Mobile uses the same login credentials as Desktop application

  • To log out of Aria Mobile, navigate to the hamburger menu and select

“Logout”

  • Aria Mobile is fluent in 3 languages. English, French, and Spanish. To change the language, navigate to the hamburger menu and select

“Language”

Initiate a Sales Transaction




  • There are 2 methods of initiating a sales transaction.


  • Selecting the hamburger menu and selecting “New Transaction”


  • Selecting the Shopping Cart in the top right corner

Basic Sales Transactions




  • Add a customer to the transaction


  • Add items by searching by name, entering the MMS Item Number or UPC of the item and pressing enter.

  • If the exact item was not found, Aria Mobile will display a list of closely related items, based on your search.

  • Once all items have been added, select “Tender” in the bottom right corner.

  • If you need to make any changes to an item you have added to your transaction, swipe left on the line item and select edit or delete.



Tendering a Sale





  • To tender a sale, double tap on the tender method provided, and enter the amount. You are able to use multiple tenders. Once the full amount is covered, you can finish the transaction.



Device with Plan Sales





  • The process is the same as a basic transaction, however, a device requiring the plan flow, will automatically trigger it when being added to the transaction.

  • The last 2 pages of the plan flow will confirm the final details required to complete the transaction. The contract number (The MSISDN from the account or Xs) and provide a summary.



Remote Authorization





  • If a transaction requires Remote Authorization, an “Authorize” button will appear instead of the “Tender” button


  • The “Add Scans” screen will appear. Tap the “Add Scans” button to add the required documentation to support the transaction (e.g. identification, employment info, etc.).

  • Take a picture of the required documentation by tapping the Camera icon.


  • Next, tap the “Document Type” pick-list and select the document type provided.

  • The “Add Scans” screen will update with the scan. Tap “OK” to submit the Remote Auth


  • You will be taken to the Home screen. While awaiting Remote Authorization, the transaction is held in Saved Transactions with a status of “Pending”. Once authorized, its status will update to “Approved” and it will be ready for tendering. If denied, the status will reflect “Rejected”. request.



Applying Promotional Discounts




  • Create / Add a Customer onto the transaction


  • Add the device, items and details on the transaction


  • Add the Rebate Trigger item (10000) to initiate the discount on any available items on the transaction


  • Select the appropriate eligible discount and press ok.


  • Tender the discounted sale as normal


Local Number Portability Transactions





  • When you enter a customer’s number to port in the “Port In Number” field in the contract flow, it triggers the LNP process (Including V-DOCS)



Bill Payments




  • Add a Customer to the transaction by performing a customer search


  • Add the correct Bill Payment item number to the transaction:


  • GSM Bill Payment MSISDN - #4000


  • GSM Bill Payment BAN - #4002


  • Non Integrated Bill Payment - #12



Bill Payments




  • Confirm Customer based on information returned


  • Enter in the amount the customer is paying on their account


  • Tender the transaction as normal.


  • The payment will automatically be applied to the customers account


Integrated Top-Up




  • Add a customer to the transaction by performing a customer search


  • Add the InSwitch Top-Up item (45) or Cross Border Top-Up item (85) to the transaction

  • Enter the amount of the Top-Up required


  • Enter and confirm the MSISDN (Phone Number) to the Top-Up

  • Tender the transaction as normal in Aria Mobile


  • The top-up will automatically be applied to the customer’s account


SmartServe Basket




  • Tap the Menu, then select “Load Basket”.


  • Select the desired basket from the provided list by doubletapping it.


The “Notes” column should contain information to help you to identify the customer.

  • The customer and the basket that was created within SmartServe will be added to the transaction. The sale can then be tendered, as normal.



Offline Mode




  • Tap the Menu, then select “Offline Mode”.


  • The messaging at the top of the screen will indicate that Aria Mobile is now in Offline Mode.

  • Tap the Shopping Cart icon from the top ribbon of the Aria Mobile screen or select New Transaction from the Menu.


  • The “Offline Customer” screen will appear. Enter the customer’s information in the appropriate fields, then tap “OK”.

  • Add the item(s) to the sale, as normal.


  • If you have added an item that requires plan selections, the Contract Item Selection wizard will appear.


  • When you are ready to finalize the transaction, tap the “Save” button at the bottom of the screen.


  • The Offline Transaction will be saved within Saved Transactions. When an internet connection becomes available and Aria Mobile is back online, you must complete the Offline Transaction.

  • Tap the Menu, then select “Online Mode”.


  • Tap the Menu, then select “Saved Transaction”.


  • The “Saved Transactions” screen will appear, displaying any transactions that were saved while Aria Mobile was in Offline Mode. Select an Offline Transaction from the list by double-tapping it.

  • Since basic customer information must be manually entered for each Offline Transaction regardless of if the customer already has an account, Aria Mobile will attempt to locate a matching record for the customer that was added in Offline Mode:


  • Customer is Existing: If the customer already has an account and a matching customer record (or multiple records) is found, simply select the correct customer record and tap “Confirm”.


  • Customer is New: If no matching account is found in the system, you will be prompted to finish creating the customer record.



  • Once the existing customer record has been selected (or the new customer record has been completed), the saved Offline Transaction will load. Tap the “Tender” button to tender the transaction, as normal.

Reprinting Last Receipt




  • To initiate a receipt reprint, from the Hamburger Menu, select

“Reprint Last Receipt”


  • The text only receipt with display. Print or Save the receipt locally.



Voiding a Transaction





  • Voiding a transaction can only be processed during the same day as the transaction was performed


  • In initiate a Void, from the Hamburger Menu, select “Void Transaction”

  • Enter in the folio number that is being voided


  • Have a Supervisor or Manager to enter in authorization credentials for the void.

  • A summary of the void will be displayed, review and once confirmed, press ok.



Refunds and Exchanges





  • Refunds and exchanges of items are performed in the same manner in Aria Mobile, with the only difference being whether a replacement item is added to the transaction (i.e. for an exchange)


  • To initiate a refund or exchange, first, add a customer to the transaction.


  • Select the profile icon, and select “Customer History”

  • Select the item you are returning or exchanging and select

“Exchange”

  • The item being refunded or exchanged will be added to the transaction in a negative quantity


  • Have a Supervisor or Manager to enter in authorization credentials for the refund / exchange.

  • The item being refunded or exchanged will be added to the transaction in a negative quantity


  • If you are refunding, move on to the last step and authorize the transaction.


  • If you are exchanging, add your new items to the transaction and then move on to the authorization step.


Cash Balancing





  • To conduct a cash balance at the end of your shift, navigate to the hamburger menu and select “Cash Balance”


  • Enter in the total amounts of collected tenders on hand


  • Use the “Cash” button to easily calculate the cash on hand and summarize it in the ”CASH” field.

  • Once completed, an Aria Mobile Cash Balance sheet will display.


  • Aria Mobile is configured for ‘Blind Cash Balances. This means the “Over/(Short)” fields and all “Journal Totals” (i.e. at the top of the screen) will be masked by asterisks (*****).


  • This allows the physical count to be conducted without the user knowing the expected amounts.


  • This report can be printed for any future auditing practices.



Assumptions







  • Wireless Connectivity to Network Required: Reliable wireless connectivity to network is required for Aria Mobile.



  • No Logo on Home Screen: The Digicel logo will not appear on the Home screen in this version of Aria Mobile.



  • No Inventory Functionality: Any inventory receiving, transferring or ordering capabilities are not available within Aria Mobile.



  • No Item Alert Notices: Item Alert Notices are not eligible to be on any items that will be sold in Aria Mobile.




  • No Gift Card Tender Types: The gift card tender types are not supported in this version of Aria Mobile.



  • Receipts: It is not possible to print and email receipts upon tendering transactions  only one of these options for providing the receipt

  • Void Receipts:  Void receipts can only currently be printed via Aria Mobile  they cannot be emailed.
